Description
Gaieté is a special reddish-pink flower that grows in marshes on dying trees. It is hard to find and usually needs direct sunlight to bloom. The property confers suggestibility. When applied on its own, it confers the following:
- Potion: Applied as a liquid or powder, this will be able to affect one person for 2d4 hours or multiple people for 2d4 rounds. At this time the person(s) will be extremely agreeable (-4 to all Saving Throws) to all suggestions, and will automatically agree to non-conflicting ones, happily going along with them all. A Saving Throw will halve the effect.
- Inscription: Inscribing this sigil on a wall or item affects all who view it, as above, for 1d4 rounds + (your Intelligence Proficiency bonus). A Saving Throw negates the effect.
- Jewelry: This item, when worn, causes it’s wearer to fall under the effects of Euphoric Happiness. They have -4 to any Saving Throws against suggestions which they would conflict against and will automatically agree with non-controversial ones.
- Fabrics/Clothing: Same as jewelry, except Fabrics imbued with this property can be used to cover things: items, people. You can basically cover a 10ft. by 10ft by 10ft area and uncover it to put on something else.
- Weapon: A person struck with this weapon gets to roll a Saving Throw. If failed, he or she is affected by the Euphoric Happiness for 1d4 rounds. The weapon has 1d4 charges (plus your Intelligence Proficiency bonus).
- Armor: A person striking this armor has no Saving Throw and is affected by Euphoric Happiness for 1d4 rounds. The armor has 1d4 charges (plus your Intelligence Proficiency bonus).
- Wand, Staff, or Rod: The item has 1d4 + (your Intelligence Proficiency bonus) charges and the user can aim and cast it at a target. Anyone, or any thing, hit by this power is affected by the Euphoric Happiness and has -4 to any Saving Throws against suggestions that would be controversial. If non-controversial, they’ll automatically agree.
Location
This property can only be procured in marshlands, but fortunately it can be found in nearly any province. The telltale signs are dead woods and brush.
